About this business

The Guenther House makes its home in an elegant historic mansion on the property of Pioneer Flour Mills in the historic King William area. From its not-so-humble beginnings as the home of Carl Hilmer Guenther in 1860, it has been restored into one of the more unique dining experiences in the city. The breakfast menu (served all day) offers Southern Sweet Cream Waffles and breakfast tacos, among other items. At lunch, choose from such entries as Champagne Chicken Enchiladas and Pioneer Taco Salad.

Great food, and service. People complain because of the wait and slow service but hey it is a historical site, and not a place to be in a hurry but instead a place to enjoy. If your in a hurry go to McDonalds.

The food was OK, but definitely not worth the hour wait or the extremely slow service.

Pretty disappointed today. Food took forever and the service was slow. Asked for the check because we said we were in a hurry and it seemed as tho they took longer on purpose. Food was delicious but it came out in shifts, by the time I received my food my husband was done. Not a good day at the Guenther House. ☹️ On another not we went 2 weeks ago and service was amazing! Also the food came out super fast! Maybe it was a bad day.
