Built in 1933, this Classical Revival hotel was a favorite haunt of Hollywood celebrities. The Georgian Hotel's one-time speakeasy, where guests now eat breakfast, was allegedly started by mobster Bugsy Siegel. If ever a hotel deserved a Five Star it's the Georgian Hotel of Santa Minica. It's truly the elegance of yesterday, blended with the feelings, looks & service of the current day. Perfect location for so much - beach, pier, Malibu, Getty, shopping and even getting to near by L.A., Venice Beach and others. Get a room with a view of Ocesn side if you can. Worth it. We stayed at The Georgian Hotel in December 2015, before we departed on our roadtrip to San Francisco. The staff were extremely nice to us. They were accommodating, attentive and very helpful throughout our stay. My hubby got hurt a little surfing his first time in Venice Beach, while checking in we were discussing our experience with the staff and they gave us a care packet with all kinds of goodies to tend to his injuries. I have stayed here many times over the years and always have had great service and enjoy the hotel. Amazing ambiance and you can't beat the location!
The front veranda was an excellent spot to catch up with other friends staying in hotel. Old charm, very comfortable and homey. Loved it!
