Horrible food and service but the most disturbing part is the owner is clueless. I will shout from the tree tops about how bad this place is. The owners response to my review is exactly what I would expect and completely false. I made the reservation in advance with the condition that I wouldn't be behind the wall (so we could see the stage). I was told if we ate dinner then that could happen. I'm not squabbling over money here but I am disappointed. I ordered a meatloaf sandwich and it was horrible. Overbearing onion/garlic. I choked down a few bites and that was all I could take. I sent back at least 3/4 of the entire meal. They charged me half price. I wouldn't do that to a customer. Hope you have better luck if you choose to have dinner at this establishment.
We moved to this area about 3 years ago and I have so wanted to make The Gathering a regular place to eat and entertain friends and family. So many times there have been issues with slow, inconsistent service but the food was, for the most part, pretty good. More accurately, my food was usually pretty good, have heard several complaints from others and have had my own occasional bad experience. I decided to try The Gathering Bistro & Pub’s Sunday breakfast brunch buffet since Lincoln Square Pancake House had a long wait. Very, very disappointing. It was my second time visiting and will be my last. It is not a buffet at all and not even worth the $8. The server did not even ask if we had been there before let alone explain that there was actually no buffet but we ordered off of a menu to her as to what we wanted. The food was not good at all. We love eating here! Its a local favorite! My wife always gets and loves the mahi mahi sandwich! I play the menu a bit more and have never been disappointed...
