Matt is a knowledgeable banker, friendly and always available; the process was smooth and took just about 2 months (my previous re-finance took about 6 months); I got the best available rate.
My whole experience was smooth from start to finish. Cedrick was very communicative, kept me informed of the status and next steps at every phase, and was quick to respond to my questions and provide helpful answers. The website was also extremely easy to use and upload documents. Great experience overall.

Horrible experience!!! Started a loan in October and finally ended the process at the end of March. Started with Max Mills who talked us into using Federal since he was working elsewhere and switching to this bank I agreed and it was definitely the wrong decision. All the information they requested was sent. Several months passed without hearing from them and when I followed up they would request some of the same information that was already sent. I asked up front what all fees were for a VA finance. I was quoted an interest rate and the disclosure statement sent to me had the correct rate and terms but had a box at the bottom of the page stating that is was a floating loan and I would not be locked in. I specifically asked 3 different occasions if I was locked in and was told I was. Every time I questioned I was told by my loan officer the only thing that mattered was the numbers typed. I received an unprompted spam/junk phishing letter in the mail from The Federal Savings Bank based in Chicago where they make themselves out to be some sort of legitimate federal entity/program to remove PMI insurance from my mortgage. The fine print states it is in fact a mortgage refinance; it is an advertisement for a private company. I have never done any type of business with this bank nor live anywhere near Chicago.
