Pleasant experience, I was really surprised and very comfortable with the entire process. In the past my experience with the mortgage process was not comfortable until the final documents were signed, I was comfortable with this entire process.

Sketchy business practices. I spoke with Nick ****** for an hour, we went over anything and he wanted to set up a time for a "notary" to come to my house to sign documents. I told him I wanted to read reviews and talk to other people to see if everything was on the up and up or if there were any hidden fees on the back end. Mr. Martin kept repeating how much I would save and that he was from the Federal Savings Bank and he just needed my trust. I would stay far far away from The Federal Savings Bank. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE SERVICE. Its all great until they get your money, then they don't care at all!! I refinanced my home mortgage with them. Everything was going okay. There were a few problems, but nothing you don't expect when refinancing a mortgage. However, as soon as we signed our loan documents, everything changed. They stopped returning my phone calls and emails. And I mean STOPPED. I have received two or three pieces of deceptive advertising from this bank. The envelope screams "FINAL NOTICE" making it look like I owe money to a creditor. The letter inside has the year 2019 printed in a huge font to look like it's a tax form. The first sentence of the letter is "Department of ******** *******guidelines require a waiting period in New York, NY in order to retrieve certain benefits through this government-sponsored program" making it seem that they are part of the VA.
