Didn't get us on the phone to discuss payment options, just shut us off and are now demanding an outrageous amount to turn power back. Extortion. Go solar, turn the power grid off. There are options out there. Bad customer service, too. Very unhappy with Empire District Electric.
Too high electric bill!! Empire is sucks!! My bill went up $627.00..... It was usually be around $300-350.00!! It's bullshit!! I can't pay that amount $627.00 because I am on social security income!! I am poor!! SAD LIFE!!
My electric bill (no gas, just electric) for a small 2 bedroom apartment was over $200 for this past month. That is just ridiculous!! It shouldn't be that much! I wish there was another company we could go with.
Got my Electric bill they said they read it on the 12th and billed me saying my meter current read was 44503 /1526 KWh today the 18th at 12 noon it read 44102. Quit estimating and Robbing people you keep asking for raises and say you can pollute up by satellite but yet you still don't have it right total bull
We've been a customer for over 36 years. We've lived in our current house for over 30 years. Generally this time of year our electric is always fairly low, it's the gas bill that is high in the winter, we got our bill for Feb and it was more than double and nearly as high as our summer bill. We've been one not to complain, even after one of your trucks pulled our lines down tearing the wires from our home and damaging our siding and gutter. My electric bill continues to increase. Even though I have solar panels... My bill last month was the highest I have ever had in my life and I have 26 solar panels on my roof... Live in a new home.... All energy efficient as well.
Our bill went up almost $300 this month. There is no reason for our bill to go up that much. I have heard of a lot of people having the same issues. Something needs to change
I've lived a few places and they are the absolute worst electric company! My bill is outrageous, yet they continue to raise rates. I wish another company would come in so people had options and a competitive market. Customer service also stinks.
