Monopolizing, robbery, rate hikes, and fraud. Wish we had more options for electric.
As if it's not been high enough, our most recent electric bill has a nice little statement warning that our bill will increase...yet again (for summer rates-how ridiculous!!). It makes me sick to my stomach that we are absolutely stuck with them and have no other choice for an electric provider. At our previous place, we had Ozark Electric and I loved them! Empire should take a lesson from them. I loathe Empire!!!
Worst company ive evsr dealt with. They have a monopoly so they do whatever they want. Absolute garbage as well as most the reps workin for them.

Seen first hand today the complete idiots they hire. If it was simply the fact this motard could not drive while on his phone. Driving in both lanes then in the middle of the road almost hitting 6 cars. Then as we get to MSSU I think this motard is pulling to the side of the road to actually pay attention to his phone because he can not drive. Then he pulls back across the road almost hitting me. Terrible service. Estimate bills and they wind up being double for months I use less. Constantly raising rates. I paid less for all utilities combined in Springfield than I do for electric from Empire
I live in bolivar mo. No other options in the part of town I live in other than empire. My boss has the same amount of kids as I do and 2.5 times the house. His electric bill is half of mine????? Empire electric company is a scam artist and there is nothing you can do other than move but that's not always an option is it.
