dream vacation – What's not to love? It's historic, it's haunted, it's almost ridiculously beautiful. I can't say enough about how great the Driskill is.
Excellent Five Star – This is a restaurant you do not want to miss. Elegance describes all aspects of it. The dinning room is one of the most beautiful is the city. The service provided is the most superior I have ever experienced-and I have dined all over the world. The cuisine is exceptional , all courses were not only delicious but had magnificent presentation. I highly recomend a fantastic dinning experience at the Driskill Grill.
Exquisite – Had a biz lunch here and it was superb. Food was a bit dainty, but the flavor makes up for that. Service was fantasitc, prices weren't outrageous for such an elegant setting and fine food. Great place.
New Experience Every Time – What is best about the Driskill is it's history and uniqueness. Everytime I have stayed there I have heard or read another fasinating story relating to the hotel's history. And walking around in the hallways offers a museum like feel, with all the artwork beautifully displayed. I have to admit I am partial to the historic part of the hotel. I always feel important and special each time I stay. (due to the great staff) If you can afford it, this is the place to stay.
great business lunch – This is one of my favorite places to take clients for lunch. The staff is perfectly attentive without being intrusive. The atmosphere is simply classy. Whether you are in the mood for a simple salad or a three course meal, you will be able to find something devine on the menu. The Driskill Grill, I believe, is one of those little known gems in Austin.
Low ceilings make me feel freaky – OK, so this place is admittedly one of the cooler places to stay in Austin, but I really wish they're raise the roof (literally) a bit in that lobby bar. I feel like I'm caught in an elevator while I'm trying to enjoy my drink. Too claustrophobic for me. The bathrooms are great, though. Actual cloth towels, early Texana dioramas and the sports page tacked above the urinal. Class!
