Overpriced bakery...food not so good...will not go back!
I've been going to The Dining Car since it first opened. I've had everything from breakfast, to lunch, to dinner and everything in between. I love their cream soups and their french onion soup is the best. Friendly staff as well. They have an on-site bakery which carries all kinds of desserts, including cakes, pies and cookies. You can also order a personal cake for any occasion. All in all, Dining Car is the best!
I LOVE this restaurant...the food, the service, the people, the pride in their community...and the bakery! I drive from Ocean County, NJ to visit my daughter and make this one of our stops each time! Super place to eat for sure!

Food is always great along with the service. Never disappointed! The wife loves the homemade Chicken Croquettes! Can't go wrong here.
never a terrible experience. foods always decent, decently priced and friendly staff...sometimes it feels like the servers are over seated, but that’s about it.
The food is generally good. Potatoes with my breakfast were blah. Last two times our waitresses were horrible. Who gives a child a full glass of water when specifically asked for a kids cup???? Sadly I won't be back any time soon.
