Excellent cut for an excellent value – I moved to LA from San Diego two years ago and it's taken me this long to find a good hair stylist in LA at a reasonable rate! Ask for Summer: new to The Cut, she's a great and experienced stylist. Very communicative (listens carefully and asks questions to give you exactly the cut you want); intuitive, highly skilled and friendly to boot. So, one guy had a bad experience... – To be as charitable as possible, I think this was a young, fashion-conscious haircutter (Elizabeth) giving an old guy a hip haircut that wasn't what he wanted or expected. Elizabeth mostly used a comb rather than her fingers to lift the hair, and cut quickly--less than twenty minutes for shampoo and cut. The cut was shorter than I wanted, and very ragged and uneven. Fantastic Haircut – Roberta gave me the absolute best haircut ever. She knew what I was going for and made it happen. My hair has never looked better. The salon has a great atmosphere as well. Definitely a must!
Where do they get these reviews? – I went in after faithfully using citysearch. A pretty big disappointment-ok atmosphere, bad haircut, pretty much not much difference than my local supercuts.
Easily the Best Hair Salon I've Ever Been To – I've dropped 50 bucks for hoity toity haircuts four times in L.A. They were decent cuts, but way too pricey. The Cut charges $25 dollars and the hair cuts match and exceed L.A.'s premier salons. I've had my hair cut five times from The Cut, by three different stylists, and each was great. They each have what every hair dresser needs that goes beyond skill: an intuitive sense of what looks good for each different person. one new follower – i have tried many salons in l.a. and i have yet to find a stylist who knows hair colors until i met christina at the cut salon. i had my doubts but after my consulting with her i put my hair in her hands. and the results are that i got the best high lights and hair cut ever! so yes i will be one true follower of chistina
Great style, great stylist – I went in only with a general idea of what I wanted, and Nikol did a great job of listening to what I was going for while advising what she thought would be best - the result was great. Nikol was extremely friendly and knows what she's doing! The $20 first haircut is a great deal too if you're looking around for a new place to go.
must go! – I just went yesterday and got my hair cut by Christine, and she did a great job. I'm usually really freaked out about getting my hair cut, but she just seemed like she knew what she was doing and what I wanted, and I got a great cut.
Great cut! Always ask for Nikol! – I had my first cut at The Cut Salon last week with Nikol, and I am very happy with the result. She is very talented and also very pleasant and friendly. We talked the whole time and before I knew it, she was done and I had my best haircut in years! Always remember to call ahead and ask for Nikol!
