My family member had outpatient surgery upon discharge she was feeling extreme pain and nausea while waiting for her ride. We were told to go to emergency where we sat from 2:00pm until 7:30pm before they finally took her to an exam room. First, They should have never discharged her. Second, she should have immediately been seen in emergency instead of taking 5 hrs in the waiting room. Nobody seems to be in a rush, I’m outraged!! THE WORST ER! The point of going to the hospital is to get help and to eliminate pain(whatever the case may be) until you are able to see your primary care doctor. If you are trying to obtain that goal then Christ hospital is not the emergency room for you! The Doctors should be taught to treat each patient as they want to be treated instead of prejudging! The quality of care provided by The Christ Hospital and the compassion, knowledge, expertise and friendliness of their people is excellent!!! HOWEVER, their billing system is about the worst thing I’ve ever dealt with. This is something I know about since I spent 25 or so years installing/managing the installation of hospital and physician billing systems.
