I attended the Catholic University of “AMERICA” woman lacrosse conference championship game this past Saturday and was appalled and ashamed at the conduct of the campus police department conduct during the playing of the National Anthem. Not only did they “NOT” stop remove there hats , face the flag and place there hands over their hearts as requested by the stadium announcer, they acted in a very unprofessional manner by talking and laughing and joking around during the playing of the Anthem. I am from Cuba and my School In Havana was affiliated to the Catholic University of America, so I was able to graduate with a BA in Liberal Arts from CUA.! And this was SO HELPFUL, when I left Cuba escaping Communism !!! I’m Grateful to THE CATHOLIC UNIVERSITY OF AMERICA for their International Program!
A dangerous place for POC to attend, racism is not only acceptable but encouraged at this institution. Brittany McNurlin was wrongfully permitted to retain her position, while Juan-Pablo Gonzalez never received an apology from her nor the Catholic University of America. Yet again we have no justice for victims of inequality, even at an establishment which has the audacity to claim the Love of Christ as its foundation.
The staff is involved enough to protect students from the local thugs by calling police when situations demand action to prevent evil ones from acting out on campus.
