The Very Best – The optimal steak house, Capital Grill in Providence RI is a terrific restaurant that you can count on for excellent food, service and the rush of a fast paced steak house. I have an incredibly difficult time going to any other restaurant in Providence, although there are many, because Capital Grill is just that good that I never feel I have anything to worry about when I take friends, or family there for a special occasion or just lunch.
Truly one of the most gratifying dining experiences I’ve had. This is a perfect place to indulge in delectable and flavorful food. Plus, the atmosphere was very peaceful and tranquil. We’d love going back to this place.
Excellent service and good food – The service is absolutely excellent. The waiter goes above and beyond to anticipate what you want. Oysters from NE were fresh and good. Aged steak was good but not outstanding - not to the quality I would expect from the place which specializes in aged steaks. Overall I enjoyed the experience and will probably go back again for a nice pleasant atmosphere and nice food.
Wonderful Birthday Celebration – Capitol Grill near the Galleria, truly made my birthday celebration a memorable celebration.Our waiter was attentive but did not rush us. The special details such as the rose, the photo developed and given to us during dinner was a nice touch but.... The steaks were excellent, juicy and cooked to perfection. Steak Anyone? – The Capital Grille is at the front of a row of restaurants that flank the front of the Stamford Mall. Parking is available in the public garage immediately behind the restaurants or valet parking can be chosen (for a fee). However, the Capital Grille offers free valet parking for diners arriving after 5PM (I didn't know this until after parking in the garage and walking up to the restaurant to read the sign announcing such). Disappointing – We hadn't been to The Capital Grille for years, and went for a birthday celebration with guests from out of town. My elderly mother and I are not big eaters, and I know the portions are substantial. I think it was when we split our appetizer that our waiter lost interest in our table. The rest of the evening went downhill from there. When we ordered a bottle of wine for two of us, he misunderstood and served two half glasses. It was unbelievable, and actually embarrassing. One of the best – My husband and I went to dinner here a couple nights ago for the second time and it was just as memorable as the first. They definitely know how to treat their customers special. For mature dining only – My husband surprised me and took me here for our fifth anniversary. The atmosphere and setting was elegant, clean, quiet, and everything including the flowers arrangements, room lighting, and temperature were excellent. We enjoyed the services very much.
