Worst Apartment Complex Ever My roommate and I moved in 2 months ago, we've had ants the ENTIRE time. I had to put in a request to fix my toilet TWICE and it took them two weeks to get it fixed. The service is lousy. Paying rent every month is a COMPLETE HASSEL!!! They do not accept checks and it's a $40 fee every month to pay online. They also did not tell me about all of the hidden fees that I didn't know about when I signed they lease. We are disappointed to hear this and it sounds like there is some confusion. We accept checks for rent payment and receive them often from our residents. They may also pay online. Paying through your bank account does not cost anything (routing number/ checking account number). Paying by debit or credit card does impose a fee, as Visa and MC charge us to process these payment. No AC plus rats I moved in February 2017. I had rats for 2 months. Now on the hottest day of the year I have no AC. They won't come to fix it until tomorrow. Plus they are raising rents out of control. Don't move here! It's a nightmare!
Staff are great Pros: -staff are extremely helpful, courteous, and responsive to our needs -maintenance requests were completed in timely manner -location and price are great -neighborhood feels safe Cons -buildings are outdated and in need of repair. The apartments that are not updated have really cramped floor plans— we did not renew our lease due to the fact that their 800 was not enough space for me and my husband. -bugs! Im home! I just moved to the area from out of town and the staff at shadows made the process simple and easy! Everyone from the front office staff to maintenance has introduced themselves and made me feel at home from the start. The floor designs are very open and modern and there are several to choose from. The location is great for activity, dining and fitness along tenants are active and friendly

Service and Maintenance Superior service and maintenance are a must to an apartment complex if it is to remain a home to its tenants (rather than just an asset to its owner). SOC’s new owner has apparently taken up that mantle and set priorities accordingly (tenant first). My maintenance requests are the usual sort (faucet leaks, toilet float replacement, etc.). This place is changing for the better! I am a resident I am so happy with the new management company and the upgrades that were made to this property. The grounds are clean, the pools are beautiful, and the new leasing office has a convenient business center. They are renovating the gym and adding a club house. While the gym is down, they gave residents a free membership to LA Fitness. I don't know of any apartment community that would go out of their way to do that. When it's good you come back for more! ;) I lived at Shadows of Cottonwood a couple of years back and when my lease ended, I decided to try out a different property. I did not enjoy them as much, and decided to end my lease and move back into Shadows of Cottonwood. I can honestly say that I have nothing negative to say about this complex. Everyone in the office is always so friendly and helpful. The leasing agent, Iris, has always made sure that any problems that pop up are quickly addressed by maintenance. Amazing place to live. It's been 2 months since I've moved into the Shadows of Cottonwood. I was skeptical at first because of all the bad reviews.. but man did I make the right decision going forward with the move. From the move in date to now, living here has been the absolute best. Any problems that arise are fixed quickly by the maintenance team after calling the office. Nice apartments I have been here for 4 years. It's a nice apartment complex to stay in. They keep the complex very clean. Quite area. Only suggestion I have is to make aplay area for kids. It would be easier somedays to have something close verses walking to the park.
