About this business

It's hard to say whether you are in NYC or LA once you enter this spot reminiscent of the Big Apple with its facade made from subway tiles. Despite its NYC vibe, there is a unmistakable French bistro-style ambiance albeit you are in the heart of Hollywood. The menu consists of appetizers like Bowery Sliders with chicken or beef, free-range chicken wings and macaroni au gratin while the salads, sandwiches and entrees round out your dinner. The Roasted Pork Belly and Pan Seared Salmon are two entrees that come highly recommend... read more

10 Years in Hollywood and now the good life – If I come here anymore I will become a burger and a Chimay. We are obsessed with the Bowey burger, baby lamb chops, and steak & fries. Unreal and so not expensive. I like the restaurant next door too, but no competition. Thank you to whoever made this all happen.

Mac n' Cheese a la French Style...... – The beauty is in the flavor. Consistenly good eats and always happy people hanging out. I will drive the eight miles to eat here. Our food came out a few minutes late while it was completely packed in the bar. My friend was slightly upset, but then reinvigortated when our server bought us a round of drinks on the house. This my friends is a rare thing in this town.

You had me at hello.... – I was on my way to a meeting - and noticed the white tile facade as I passed this place. Intrigued, I returned for post work drinks and eats. And very happy I did. It's nice to have a place like this nearby. The ambience was very pleasant and the crowd was very cool. The best service I've had years, second only to the drinks and the tasty burger.

Good food, great drinks – I decided to take a peek here after Hungry Cat, as usual, is completely packed and booked - and was overall pleased with this plan B: their specialty bowery burger was good (though the blue cheese didn't work with me,) and I LOVE their sweet potato fries (one of the best I had in LA so far). The drinks are decent and it's a nice atmosphere to watch sports or to have a conversation. Will likely be back for more.

After Work Enjoyment - Cheers – Just found one of my new post stress drink spots. Me and the crew enjoyed great drinks and great service after work. The bartender made me a specialty martini - can't remember what it was, but I remember it was very good. Also great apps and friendly service. Just a lot of fun to hang and even meet some locals. Definitely a go to spot on my personal journeywoman bar crawl.

What Happened – This place was great when it first opened, I haddnt been in a while so went with some freinds. I was sooo embareced, greesy mac and cheese, soggey fries, someone mentioned the short ribs, the were right, no flavor at all on medocre mashed spuds, the onion rings ued to be great but we got a tiny portion which left a pool af greese on the plate. The only thin that was stiil great was the burger (get the works ). servise nice, dirinks expensive, but what do you expect on hollywood, some of us had an argeninian w... read more

One of Hollywood's fun, slightly rockin' alternatives to the overbearing scene on the Boulevard is this New York-style neighborhood joint smackdab next to Magnolia on Sunset. – In Short Located just east of Sunset + Vine, this smartly styled brasserie-cum-saloon--sister restaurant to pizzeria/bar Delancey--infuses the area with another dose of Lower-Manhattan attitude and design. Under a pounded tin ceiling, wall-mounted loveseats and floor-to-ceiling black-tiled walls, hungry singles, Arclight moviegoers and hipsters graze ... read more

Great Burgers, Expensive Drinks – The food is good at The Bowery. The burgers are probably the best thing on the menu followed by the mac and cheese. I have only been for dinner so I cannot attest to the lunch menu. The drinks are ungodly expensive. The first time I went there I made the mistake of ordering a mixed drink (sometimes a girl needs a margarita!) and the price was not listed anywhere. When we got the bill I discovered my drink was 12 dollars, granted it was a bigger then normal magarita, but that was more then my... read more

She was so happy, which made me happy! – I loved the burger and she loved the candles and I think we like each other. Great place for our first date - somehow it worked out! It worked out really well actually. And I think it's because this place was very romantic but at the same time very relaxing. ..put me at ease. The people here were fabulous. Now I just gotta get her to move out here!
