definitely worth a try.... – i think the garlic noodles are now one of my favorite dishes in the city! the bartender in the evening is delightful, and the service, though impersonal, is really on the ball. it's a pretty casual place and i can't wait to get all the way across town to eat there again.
Cheaper alternative to Crustaceans ... – Delicious and cheaper than crustacean. The CRAB, garlic noodles, green beans are definitely must order items. The ambiance is cool with its fairly large space on the corner of Judah Street. It's also in a residential'ish area which means parking is really bad. Drive around forever and still can't find parking? Well I say give up and just valet your car. If you're coming to Thanh Long, you're already going to be spending money so what's an extra $5. avoid if you don't like getting ripped off – Prices - $10 for garlic noodles, $37 for roasted crab. Good? It's ok, not spectacular. Drinks - $8 per cocktail, $20-$30 per entree. Atmosphere is like a typical Chinese restaurant. Wannabe upscale Vietnamese doesn't pull it off. Def. don't feel like I got what I paid for.
Can you say Garlic Noodles? – I'm not a crab lover, but I do love Tiger Prawns over a bed of Garlic noodles. I've been going to the "Greasy Crab" we lovingly have called it for about 15-20 years. Go with lots of friends or just your significant other, either way, the food is always good. Even if you're not a crab lover, like me, there's is something tempting on the menu that you'll enjoy. BEST FOOD IVE EVER HAD! – I can honestly say this place was worth it! The food was the best i have had at any restaurant. Though the restaurant doesnt look very nice from the out side, once you step inside it has a wonderful ambiance. We were seated immediatly (make reservations) and our food came out in 10 minutes, just enough time to enjoy my mango mixed drink, it was delicious! Not Worth the Price – I don't mind the restaurant so much. The food is good but very over priced. The atomesphere is noisy and it's very hard to have a conversation. My main problem is the parking. I know that in this residential area that parking is hard to find. I don't think the restaurant found much of a solution in having valet parking. So tasty.. – I love this place. The roasted crab and garlic noodles are really delicious. They have awesome desserts too, my favorite is the fried ice cream. The service is decent, and it's got a nice atmosphere. It can get really crowded, which makes for a noisy meal. The prices are a little on the high end too, so this place is not for everday dining.

The correct phone number for this place is 415.665.1146... the spicy eggplant was another great dish. it wasn't spicy but it was great! it had chicken, shrimp, shitake mushrooms, green peppers, onions and eggplant - what more can you ask for? and of course the garlic noodles and rice was great too! I highly recommend this place.
Crab lovers – Thanh Long captured the same taste as in Bevery Hills. I would defintely recommend to someone that loves crab, butter, peppers and so on. I made reservations at 8PM on a Friday night and was 30 min's late due to SF traffic. Even though we arrived extremley late, the immediated seated us. That's was great! Waitress and service was awesome. Food was prepared in a timely fashion and we were never rushed to leave. Not sure how the other Crustacean is in SF, but i'd go back to Thanh Long if was back in the city.
