We are a family salon, which means we have all the services you need for every member of your family. We offer everything from hair color and extensions, to facial waxings and crew cuts. Our salon specializes in and caters to children and adults with Autism and Special Needs. Our stylists are kind, patient and loving. With the right tools, techniques and our unique skill sets, we are able to help you and/or your child through the haircut and styling process as quickly and effectively as possible.

RecommendedToday for session, I had the chance to meet Amy the owner of tHAIRapy and an amazing barber named Juan, who took care of my kiddo for a haircut. As you may know, haircuts for those on the spectrum are very tough due to the sensory aspect of clippers and sheers. For one whole hour the Juan made my kiddo feel comfortable in the salon and got him to sit for 40 minutes in the cool custom chair they have! That is just amazing!! Great place to get your child's hair cut! Amy is the best!
I’m not sure how many parents have challenges with hair cuts. For Denise Kruszewski Snuffer & myself it one of the most challenging things we do for our 5 1/2 year old Caleb who has Autism/ ADHD. He hates everything about haircuts and he screams, punches, screens, cries, etc. Its just the worst experience for him and such a nightmare for us. I really wanted to like this place! I was referred by a friend and was excited to take my 2.5 year old daughter here for a haircut. Amy and Juan seemed very nice, and my daughter sat still for her haircut. The haircut itself didn't look great but I thought it was the light and we were in a hurry so I paid the $20, gave a tip, and we left.
