Dr Smith is always prepared with history and new imaging/exam results to discuss next steps. I trust him and his PA completely because they have a long track record (over 10 years) giving me sound options and excellent surgical outcomes when surgery was needed. He doesn't beat around the bush and he speaks at my level of understanding. I have a knee replacement coming--Dr. Smith and the TX Ortho team are my first choice.
In 2018 a jogging mishap resulted in a damaged rotator cuff and torn bicep ligament. And then the end of 2022 a hiking stumble did almost the same to my other arm. Dr. Rodriquez attended to both. This type of injury is not an easy recovery, but use of arms is back. Dr. Rodriquez and his staff are efficient, knowledgable and caring.

I was told to show up 25 minutes early for a 3:15 appointment on July 3rd. I was there almost an hour before being called back. The nurse or PA came in and asked a lot of questions, which I had filled out online. After a while they took a couple of xrays, then back to exam room for waiting. The nurse came in and said that Dr. McArthur was not going to see me since I had already had a spine procedure done elsewhere. The doctor said I needed to see a surgeon instead. Very intelligent man. He reviewed my case and answered my questions and also left options and decision making up to me, which I liked.
Made my hip brand new again. I was suffering pain in my left hip for years. The day after my surgery the hip pain was gone. I still had the surgery pain but medication took care of it. I highly recommend Dr McArthur.
Very thorough, great bedside manner and uses superior outpatient surgery center. Felt no pain during or after surgery due to excellent block medication.
