We just had a major radiosailing event centered around this place. Excellent food, excellent staff. Unfortunately, one of us lost their (expensive) little sailboats, sinking near the dock. The manager brought diving gear the following morning and tried to find the sunken boat. The water was too murky, but that he even went in looking for it speaks volumes about the fine people here in Texas, and especially at Texas Land And Cattle, Bass Pro, Garland TX! Go Astros!
Several wait staff were catering to what looked like a group of regulars, seated us in the back and ignored us. Waitress finally came to take our drink and food order after we had time to read through the menu 4 or 5 times. Got my order wrong, and it took 30 more minutes for her to bring My wife's out after mine. Manager finally came out and said she had spilled something on My wife's order which was fine if she had explained this from the beginning, but she just left us in limbo. We dine every few months. So far the food has been wonderful and the service as well. BUT, this last visit we noticed the carpet was really dirty to the point I could smell it. The bathrooms were not clean either. My ribs were a little tough and not fresh tasting but still decent. With that said we will go back since we noticed they are under new ownership. We have enjoyed excellent food here for years and a good restaurant will adjust and get better. I believe this will happen. Service was great!
