I have never been so disappointed in the nursing profession. I'm a nurse and I take pride in making sure I care for my pts well. My husband has had surgery yesterday and the nursing staff is just NOT up to standards. Not one has completed a full assessment. Not one of them has listened to his gut for bowel sounds or has listened to his lungs and told him to use an incentive spirometer(which by the way he has not gotten) to decrease his risk of pneumonia.
