A few years back I found this great hospital online , a few hundred miles from where we live and we chose them to do a small surgical procedure done for one our children. They did an amazing job and my son was well taken cared of. Great customer service, very nice medical staff. Thank you Texas Children’s Hospital! ���
Took my daughter in for stomach and chest pain and we completely got dismissed with if it’s not screaming jumping off the bed pain she can just go see her health care provider. And here’s some acid reflux medicine and she might have Kawasaki disease! So awful to tell the doctor he was mistaken n that I was not going to give her medicine for a illness I knew she didn’t have! Thanks doctor Ho from Er for sending us to memorial Herman where they got it right super fast and took good care of us!
My daughter had a procedure here and we were told after our insurance that we would owe a certain amount. After paying that amount, a month later we received a bill for almost the same amount. What they failed to tell us was that the amount we already paid did not include the equipment or doctors fee. This was something they certainly should have informed us of when we made the first payment. They were unwilling to work with us except to give us a very minimal discount on our balance. In June 2017 I had to take my son here because he was having trouble breathing and gasping for air, and projectile vomiting everything he ate. He was only 2 months old at the time, and as a new mom I was scared to death. They got me right in to see Dr Chelius and it turned out he had a condition called Laryngomalacia, which meant his larynx was deformed and closing up every time he took a breath. We recently had to make 2 trips to the hospital due to a high fever our daughter was having. First was to Memorial Hermann ER in Pearland, and it was dreadful. On the other hand our trip to TCH TMC ER/Urgent Care was a good experience. The staff was very professional and prompt as they could be. The waiting room was nice and set up for the wait. At first they were very willing to accommodate us as a family traveling out of state concerning my sons rare disorder. Only problem was the closest appt was 6m in advance. We made it,scheduled travel ( hotel and flight ) for this appointment. It was made very clear to then that we were from out of state,etc. We had special tests that needed to be done same day. 1 week before they called me to “reschedule”. They did a Great Job! The were very professional and thorough.
My daughter was diagnosed with Wolf/Parkinson/White syndrome and her cardiologist insisted we go here for her heart ablation. Dr Valdes and Dr Howard were great with explaining what all was going on and did great on the procedure. All the nurses and staff treated us great, especially Barbra in admissions and Rose in the recovery room. I hope no one reading this ever has to take a child to the hospital, but if you do, they treat you right there.
