I haven't been to an emergency room in years. We all know the dread of knowing we'll most likely be there all day and maybe all night as well. However this past week August 22, 2017 I had an accident and cut my hand bad enough to need stitches :( MY first thought was the dread of the E.R. !! I broke my ankle on Monday. My husband and I went to the Texarkana Emergency Center because I didn't want to wait long in a waiting room at the ER. Upon our arrival, there was an ambulance driver parked out front where my husband was dropping me off at the Patient Drop-Off. My husband got out to help me into the wheel chair he retrieved from inside the facility. The ambulance driver came around and told my husband, he'd get me inside so he could go park the car. I have been to Texarkana Emergency Center twice, once with a friend & again, this week, for myself. I was only there for 55 minutes total (including paperwork & being seen)!!! And, when you're not feeling good, that makes a HUGE difference.
My husband (Officer Bailey) was treated for a broken hand Saturday afternoon. The staff was great and he was in and out quickly.
