worst service ever – we know that the restaurant just opened, so werent surprised when we had to wait 30 minutes on a tuesday night and were fine with it. though we were seated at bar stools side by side next to the counter where it is very noisy. we had a server that was clueless when asked about dishes on the menu, she didnt even know how to pronounce them. we asked for some olive oil and balsalmic vinegar with our bread and were told that only olive oil was served with their bread, and we couldnt get balsalmic. whatever- ... read more

Pleasantly surprised - great neighborhood addition – We were pleasantly surprised by Terroni. We live in the neighborhood so felt compelled to try it with low expectations. From the outside, the atmosphere was uninspiring but once you?re inside, it has a nice vibe (combo Napa and West Village). The host and wait staff were very friendly and free of attitude (I disagree with some of the other reviews). Three out of the four dishes we ordered were great ? one was very bland (avoid tagliatelle with prosciutto and artichoke). Wi... read more

Service overwhelmed, food below par – I went on a Thursday night. The place was packed, but after 10 minutes, we were seated. First of all, the place was incredibly noisy and the tables were too closely packed together, making it hard for the waiter to get close enough so you could actually hear him above the general din of the place. Now I'm not one to criticize a place for their success. Obviously it was noisy because it was busy. I just think they should try to mitigate the noise with some accoustic improvements. As for t... read more

Reasons I'd rather dine at Denny's – 1) 45 min wait 2) the first words out of my server were "what do you want" 3) my food was cold 4) the only times i saw my server was when she took my order and brought my check (after i asked the food carrier to get me a check) 5) i wasn't offered water 6) although my friend and i ordered pasta and pizza, we weren't offered any cheese 7) despite napkins laying on top of dishes once we finished, they weren't taken away Nice space, decent wine, it's a shame they can't get it right.

Good Stuff! – A wonderful addition to the neighborhood! My boyfriend and I were in Italy a few weeks ago. When we returned home Terroni had just opened. Although we were burnt out of Italian food we would make it there eventually, so we have the pleasure of dining there Sunday night and were very impressed with the food and service. Terroni is a nice getaway from Pizzeria Mozza which is great but a hassle to deal with. My boyfriend order a fetticuini dish with fresh veggies and shrimp and I had the salame pizza. The pasta wa... read more

Lovely! – I live on this block and have been anticipating the opening of this restaurant for months now. It was well worth the wait. We split a pasta dish and a pizza and didn't even have leftovers. They portion sizes are perfect, and the food was absolutely delicious. The service was fast and waitress was a doll. Oh.. and I can't forget to mention that the atmosphere is wonderful as well.

Cold food and too crowded – Went on Saturday night and ate at the bar because all the tables were full. The bar is so crowded that you can barely get out of your seat. You have to move constantly so people can give their orders to the bartender and pick up their drinks. There were 3 of us who ordered dinner and 2 of the dishes were served ice cold. There are no modifications to any items on the menu which is crazy considering basic pasta dish is $15 dollars. They drinks are very over priced ($20 dollars for 2 mixed drinks) a... read more

Give up the ATTITUDE – I have gone to Terroni many many times but I will not be returning. I understand and respect that the recipies belong to the owners grandmother and they are not to be altered, but not ALLOWING parmesean for the pizza is rediculous. So i am ALLOWED to have salt and hot peppers (both of which dramatically change the flavor structure of the food) but parmesean is over the top? Come on. Get over yourself and learn to appreciate your customers. Save yourself the grief and hassle and go to Angeli Caffe on Me... read more

Another LA restaurant with an attitude. – Sorry, but "no modifications or substitutions" is just plain rude. I asked for no onions on my salad and they would not accommodate my request. The food and service was fine, but there are plenty of other great restaurants in the neighborhood that are happy to omit ingredients if they can. The chef and owner must have quite an ego.
