Nothing but good things to say about this place. Luxury for sure and a close location to Yosemite valley make it perfect. I was debating on staying in the valley or here and i went with Tenaya. After going to the valley i was happy with my decision because most of the accommodations directly in the valley like looked really rustic and old. Not what i was going for. I need to share how impressed I am with Tenaya Lodge and all of their employees. I am a Red Cross disaster response volunteer and had the tremendous privilege of assisting those that were evacuated from the South Gate fire in Yosemite. What makes it so impressive is that Tenaya opened their doors and let the Red Cross use their facilities as an evacuation shelter and provided all the food. Middle of the most beautiful place in the world. Room was great. Service was good. We had a major forest fire 5 miles away and stay was great .
Wonderful BBQ at the Summerdale/Tenaya Lodge. It's been a long tridition to celebrate my birthday there! The only criticism I have is Boooooo you have to PAY for s'more's. These used to be free! A new procedure that has us thinking next year, try the BBQ at the Horse Stables down the road.
Beautiful place. There is a lots of things to do with some very cool tours and a nearby lake.
