RecommendedOur family loved Tenaya Lodge. It has all the amenities one would expect from a higher end hotel. As we arrived it was only slightly evedent that Tenaya is located where no hotel has any business being... isolated and deep in Sierra beauty. It's architecture which draws from local influences of wood and stone assimilate into the local beauty to a point where the hotel becomes part of the backdrop. A comfortable and well-heeled stepping off point for your adventures.
The lodge has a great location. I was a little disappointed on the cottages beds, they're so hard! Also the microwave, fridge and coffee makers in cottages are so old! The price per night is not cheap and you would expect better.
The service isn't very good. We had a serious complaint/query when we left on Sunday the 4th june and left a telephone number and email address with reception for the restaurant manager to contact us as soon as possible with an update. We have since emailed several times asking for an update and haven't heard anything, considering this hotel is so customer service orientated and apparently has such high standards we are very surprised that we have not even had so much as a 'we are still looking into your query' message. Everything I saw at Tenaya Lodge was first class. The meals were outstanding and reasonably priced. Our room in Oak Cottage was more than comfortable and even had a fireplace. The staff is gracious and accommodating. And the fact that it's just outside of Yosemite main gate was the cherry on top.
This is an amazing location and hotel, we are staying with our dog and they put us on the floor with the lawn just outside our back door, the food has been amazing and the staff has been incredible. This is a MUST STAY location for anyone traveling to Yosemite.
Love,love,love.....Tenaya Lodge is amazing!!!! This was our 5th stay and can't wait to come back!! We ran the Shadow of the Giants 50k on Saturday and decided to recoop at Tenaya😝 great idea!! The 5 mile hike to the waterfalls was amazing and great for recovery😝 hated to leave
The Grill is the best, service entertaining/informative, ambience relaxing n welcoming, great food n beverage :-)!Supports local industry :-)!
