The hotel is beautiful but an hour drive from the Yosemite valley. Restaurant has not many options for food and my husband got food poisoning after eating there. If you don’t mind driving an hour to get to the Yosemite valley then it’s a nice option.

Okay, I have to admit I was a little worried when I saw the devastation from the forest fire driving in and my navigation system said I was less than a minute away... Then I saw boards on some of the windows... My fears were put to rest when I walked into the lobby with the rustic but grand decor! Every staff member I met was pleasant and helpful. Don't book here if you need to change or cancel your reservation. We stayed on hold for 25 minutes on Friday and then got disconnected, when we called back the operator said they were closed and to call back the next morning at 9. We called the next morning at 9 and the recording said they were closed. (Seriously, since when do you need to call during business hours for reservations? Are we lost in 1985?)
