I've been a Teamster for 21 yrs. I've worked for the EVSC ( Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation ) for 18 yrs. Took me 2 &1/2 of those 18 yrs to get hired permanently. I work in the maintenance dept. We are currently in contract negotiations with them & man what a joke of proposals they are offering. We haven't had a pay raise in 6 yrs. No cost of living raise... NOTHING! Weve taken concessions to help them out when they said they didnt have any money. Now they also want to take the " Me too " clause out of the contract... read more

I don't think that NOT getting a call back after calling my Local 554 about my losing my job after an injury at work is a good practice. Just wasted my dues on nothing!

I hope that the IBT is keeping track of the railroad contracts being negotiated they seem to be a benchmark for the rest of the railroads to follow. we seem to keep losing ground on medical care
