Beyond an initial call and upload of requested documents we had minimal involvement. We went from owing a substantial amount + fees & interest to getting back a small additional refund. I file my taxes using Intuit TurboTax and it seem that they sneak in a charge for the Audit Defense without a clear choice to unselect this option. I call Intuit today and talked to a **** who informed me when I asked to cancel this option told me I could not because I had the charge taken out of Federal return. I believe this is a sneaky way for them to generate more revenue without providing customer support.
Hello I have purchased the defense through turbo tax like many others and I was audited for one of my tax returns. I sent tax audit defense all of my receipts with the understanding that they would organize everything with the internet to defend my case. Come to find out they just sent everything I sent them in rough draft format. After the *** denied the documents they tried to get me to pay a tax **** that shouldnt be owed in order to prevent further work on their end (as if they did any work to begin with). They were there every step of the way. My representative was very reassuring and explained what things meant, the steps of the process, and made me feel less worried. She communicated with me promptly throughout the process and followed up with the *** constantly. She represented me professionally, clearly, and guided me through it. All was resolved with no issues. I could have not done it without TaxAudit's help. I was so relieved that I had them in my corner. Well worth the cost.
