Great Place for Lunch! – The lunch here is great, it's a hidden treasure in Raleigh. The restaurant is so pretty and the patio is a nice retreat. I have only been here once but my dish, the "Chicken Limone" was to die for. The service is friendly without being pretentious. It's a great find and I never knew it was here. We will totally be back.
You can get better food for the money – Tavola Rossa is definitely a nice looking restaurant, very modern looking decor with a cool bar. The food however is not really worth the price. The crab and artichoke dip appetizer was cold in the middle. The tomato and mozzarella pizza I ordered was not very good due to the ingredients, they just didn't taste fresh. Special Evening made perfect – My wife and i had been hearing about this restaurant from some of our close friends and we decided to try it. Right away when i arrived i knew our friends had steered us right. The decor is modern and everyone was warm and accomodating when we arrived. corrupt owner, good server – I decided to attend tavola with my husband for our twenty fifth anniversary. Our server was friendly, showed a very pleasant face and kept us happy. I was horrified when i heard the way the server was being treated by the owner. Great service, incompetant cooks. – I had been to Tavola Rossa once before and decided it was mediocre. After deciding to give it another shot, we went back. Our server was very pleasant and a joy to deal with, however, the main problem was with the food. Our appetizer, a crab and artichoke dip of sorts, was tasty but cold in the middle. Home away from home ... Recommend it Highly!! – My work keeps me in Raleigh for about 6 months per year in 2 3 month stretches. Since Tavola Rossa is across the parking lot from the hotel where I normally stay, I have dinner there at least once per week -- usually on Friday evenings -- and have been since it was the Cactus Flower. A Surprise behind the Mall – Wow. I love Italian food but I didn't know what I was getting into when I walked in the doors. My girlfriend and I dine out frequently and to alot of Italian restaurants, typically the mom and pop places. Tavola Rossa has set a new standard for them. Worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant – We called ahead for reservations for a group of 40. No problem.happy to accomadate our group. This was a group of 15 families From the minute we walked in the place Leslie Lewis the owner was rude unfriendly and hateful. When we arrived there were probably 5 other customers in the place.
