Nice alternative to Mall food Tavola Rossa has good food but is expensive in my view for the food we received. Nice alternative to eating mall food but was not that impressed. Did not meet my expectations!
Great food and warm atmosphere! – We have been going to Tavola Rossa as often as possible since discovering it about a year ago. The service, food, beverages, and decor are all excellent! An absolute gem of great food, great service and great uptown jazz! – I had the opportunity recently to dine again at Tavola Rossa. If it were a bar only it would certainly be "Cheers". The food was excellent as was the service. Russ, the manager is the epitome of the polished manager. He is impeccably well-mannered and made us feel immediately welcome. Perfect Wedding Rehersal Dinner – Tavola Rossa provided the perfect evening for our wedding rehersal dinner. We had about 25 guests on the outdoor patio. The staff reserved a section of the patio and guarenteed us a location inside in case of poor weather. The food was fantastic. Great Place for Lunch! – The lunch here is great, it's a hidden treasure in Raleigh. The restaurant is so pretty and the patio is a nice retreat. I have only been here once but my dish, the "Chicken Limone" was to die for. The service is friendly without being pretentious. It's a great find and I never knew it was here. You can get better food for the money – Tavola Rossa is definitely a nice looking restaurant, very modern looking decor with a cool bar. The food however is not really worth the price. The crab and artichoke dip appetizer was cold in the middle. The tomato and mozzarella pizza I ordered was not very good due to the ingredients, they just didn't taste fresh. Special Evening made perfect – My wife and i had been hearing about this restaurant from some of our close friends and we decided to try it. Right away when i arrived i knew our friends had steered us right. The decor is modern and everyone was warm and accomodating when we arrived. corrupt owner, good server – I decided to attend tavola with my husband for our twenty fifth anniversary. Our server was friendly, showed a very pleasant face and kept us happy. I was horrified when i heard the way the server was being treated by the owner. Great service, incompetant cooks. – I had been to Tavola Rossa once before and decided it was mediocre. After deciding to give it another shot, we went back. Our server was very pleasant and a joy to deal with, however, the main problem was with the food. Our appetizer, a crab and artichoke dip of sorts, was tasty but cold in the middle.
