Understaffed at lunch – We had a reservation for a large group during lunch hours and were completely underwhelmed with our experience. There were only two waitresses on staff during lunch where our group could have used 2 waitresses alone. When we arrived, the chairs were set so closely together there would have been no comfortable way to eat. Good place for a group meeting – Coffee and Contacts is a networking group for women and we have held two Lunch and Learns here. The owner and staff were very accomodating and the food tasty, They set us up in a private room and provided very good service to the 40+ women in attendance. Depending on availability and how much space we need we will go back again.
Not at all worth it – My department had lunch reservations at Tavola Rossa to welcome new members to the team a few weeks ago and what was meant to be a pleasant lunch became ridiculous. We had reservations for 14 people, and when we arrived we had to wait for 10 minutes to get the tables set up. There was no one else in the restaurant, and this should have been done prior to our arrival. The service was slow and our waitress seemed very disinterested in taking our orders. Avoid at all costs – I went there a while ago, and the food was average, the service was ok, but overall i was not very happy. I also had the unfortunate experience of meeting the owner. He was a very unkind man, and did not take into effect anything that was being said. I had to hunt down my waitress multiple times just to get service, and when I was finally helped it was given to me with an attitude. I would recommend this place to no one, the ownership is awful and really does not know how to help anyone.
No Excuse for Cold Food – I went to this restaurant on Mother's Day, May 11, 2008 and was very unhappy with my experience. First of all the food was cold. My family and I went to your restaurant Sunday, May 11 for Mother's Day. I have never been so disappointed in all my life with the lunch/brunch buffet. The food was cold and tasted horrible. Tavola Rossa DOES NOT GET IT!! – I went to Tavola Rossa when it first opened with a group of women. The service was terrible and they were OUTof several of the pizzas/entrees my group tried to order. The waitstaff had to no concept of service and seemed more put out by us being there instead of happy to serve us. We chalked it up as being new. Delilcious food, great service – I took my father to Tavola Rossa today for his birthday lunch. I arrived a little early and was greeted courteously. While I waited for my dad I was offered something to drink. We were seated promptly and our server was very nice. The bread and sauce they serve while you wait is delicious. Bad neighbor = bad restaurant – I recently moved into one of the apartments around the corner from Tavola Rossa, so my boyfriend and I were excited to try it out. The food was unexceptional, but we probably would have continued to eat there once in a while if it weren't for what I quickly discovered: they have loud parties there every weekend.
