They have the best thin crust pizza around! Plus they have a server there named Sophie Torgerson who is pretty awesome!
I just got my pizza home and opened the box. This is pan pizza... not Chicago Style Deep Dish. It's not thin crust either. It tastes good, but this is not what it was supposed to be... I wish I could post pictures here. The crust is the thickest part of it and the sauce is not on top. This is basically a Pizza Hut Pan Pizza and I paid at least 3-4x considering this is only a 14" pizza. I will not be coming back.
The onion rings are the best. We had the works pizza which was very good. Service also good . I give it a 4 out of 5
I grew up in Des Moines but haven't lived there since 1980. Almost every chance when I get to Des Moines I visit and have an Italian Sausage Sandwich and Onion Rings. I guess that this is probably my 45th year visiting that restaurant. Not much has changed. It is simply vintage Des Moines, a link to the past and because of that, so much better than any corporate chain who's menu has been researched engineered and cookie cutter replicated.
