I ordered 100 of our books published by Tate in October, 2016, for which they charged my credit card $520. I never received the books, and they kept stringing me along with excuses about "changing printing facilities," etc. The last email I received was just a few days before they closed the doors in January, 2017. Not only did I lose the $520--their web site says if I want to recover my "print-ready" files from the failed business, I have to send in another $50.

Tate Publishing.. I have a contract for services rendered through Tate Publishing and many of the agreed services have yet to be fulfilled. I have the original contract and hundreds of emails of me complaining every day about something that was so unprofessional or them not doing what they said they would do. My book came out in august after 10 final editing drafts. They would not correct all the things I told them were wrong with it. I am an English teacher so I was able to edit and proof it myself. I received no editing hel... read more

In October, 2008 I signed a contract with Tate Publishing Company and paid $3,950. author investment with their company. The benefits were a lifetime contract for marketing and production of my paperback book. The investment that I made was from my IRA, money that I felt good about investing into myself to promote and sell my book. I understand that as of January 16, 2017, Tate Publishing Co. would like me to spend another $50.00 to receive what is already mine-files, signed contract, etc. and that they have gone out of busi... read more

I submitted a children's book for consideration with Tate Publishing and got a first reply on November 2, 2016. After 7 more emails and playing phone tag for a month, I received a message via phone from a person identifying himself as Dr. ****. Finally on December 15, 2016, I engaged in a 45 minute bizarre conversation where he stated how much he loved my book, wanted to publish 5,000 copies, make a video of the book and a play adaptation. He tried to sing song interpretations to me of what may go in to a play or video, made... read more

Tate Publishing and I go back since 2006 when they published my first book for $3999. The experience with my first book was very good, so much so that I submitted several more books, two of which Tate sent me contracts on and was willing to publish. I contracted with them for my second book, and also an audio book to go along with the paperback in 2010 and paid an additonal $2100, however this time it was a long drawn out process that I was not at all happy with. I never got a book in my hand until 2012, and still the Audio ... read more

BBB, thank you for revoking Tate Publishing, LLC's standing with you and for finally giving them an 'F' rating. In August 2014, I signed a contract with Tate Publishing, LLC agreeing that they would print and market my first book, and in the contract it stated that for ****, I would hire a Tate Publishing Publicist to market my book. However, after my book went from the Publishing stage to the Marketing stage, I was sent Tate's Guide to Marketing which detailed how I could market my own book. When I contacted them to find ou... read more

I was a Tate Author! My book was released on March 11, 2014. I was on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and a myriad of other sites, not to mention some Walmart Shelves along with Walmart.com. I ran adds for my book, appeared on TV and had an ad out that covered the who USA. Since Tate went out of business, I see that there are many out there that own several copies of my book and are selling them online. However , in the course of 3 years, I received no royalties...well I did receive a couple 2 for about a dollar and one for 33 cent... read more

Tate wouldn't pay me for over 16 months. There were over 1,000 books sold. They took $5,000. for book signing in NYC. We were to stay at Wald-Orff Astoria. I didn't hear despite calling. Was told bizarre lies like a famous radio personality wanted to interview me--but that would be in Spring. The lies were deep and wide despite they'd had my $5,000. since August. All of us who finally went knew we were scammed. We called Barnes and Noble and there was NEVER any book signing. Instead they had us stand on curb and give out boo... read more
