I am a first time writer, writing a story of my mother from my heart. The beginning process with Tate was positive. Then the book went to print and all I got were emails trying to sell me copies of my book, telling me I was not marketing appropriately and then when I got charged twice $1500 for books I purchased I called repeatedly, e-mailed repeatedly and could not get anyone to respond. I am am author who has a book published with Taye. I complained numerous times about not being promoted, rude employees, not being contacted (and iI was NOT notified the company was closing) - I still don't know what happens to my book. I was told numerous times that this was not a vanity publisher - but in fact a real publisher. I have been with this company for 3 years and during those times, I have never received any royalties for my book. I have paid Tate Publishing $3,000.00 up front and for 3 years Ryan **** has continued to lie to me about the number of my books sold and have NEVER seen ANY monies from this company. I was a Tate Publishing client and had a book published in January 2014. I have only received $3.80 in royalties in almost three years of marketing. I was only given a few book signings scheduled and none of the places knew that I was coming or how to handle a book signing. Some of the places were yogurt shops and fast food restaurants that I did not schedule. I called and called but was given the run around by all employees.

Tate Publishing is in breach of contract with me and so many authors that have put their trust in them. My books were never produced and I had no idea that the book signing events that I was scheduling would never happen. Not only do I not have my books, my copy written material or my investment, but my reputation as a valid author has been damaged in the process. If only someone would have had the decency to step up and protect the authors that put trust in Tate Publishing.

I ordered 100 of our books published by Tate in October, 2016, for which they charged my credit card $520. I never received the books, and they kept stringing me along with excuses about "changing printing facilities," etc. The last email I received was just a few days before they closed the doors in January, 2017. Not only did I lose the $520--their web site says if I want to recover my "print-ready" files from the failed business, I have to send in another $50.

Tate Publishing.. I have a contract for services rendered through Tate Publishing and many of the agreed services have yet to be fulfilled. I have the original contract and hundreds of emails of me complaining every day about something that was so unprofessional or them not doing what they said they would do. In October, 2008 I signed a contract with Tate Publishing Company and paid $3,950. author investment with their company. The benefits were a lifetime contract for marketing and production of my paperback book. The investment that I made was from my IRA, money that I felt good about investing into myself to promote and sell my book.
