The Tastee Diner opened at 8516 Georgia Ave. Silver Spring MD. in 1935. Not another good place to eat gone
This vintage diner has all the fond memories of yesteryear still in it's original form. From the wooden booths with formica tables and a mini-jukebox to the Delmonte green beans served with my hamburger steak. A decent brown gravy smothered the steak and fries. It hit the spot. I ordered the chili before and splurged by paying the extra thirty cents for cheese and onions. I will eat here when I'm in the area from now on. The food was so good and the service was so friendly and attentive. Couldnt have asked for a better experience. The other three people in my party felt the same way.
Service horrible. Waitress never checked on us. Food was cold. No sugar, salt pepper on table had to ask several times for it and when it came was slammed down on table. Our 1st and last time there. Poor attitudes with staff. Sad sad. ���
I have not been there in years. It didn't change at all. Family feel.. great service. Great food..
