Worst place ever, wanted 6k to rebuild my trans but charged me 700 just to tell me that it need to be rebuilt. This all took 4 wk and 3 days just to find out that I had to load all my parts into the car myself. Whatever you do don't go here. There are better choices and if you can do it yourself you can get much better price and warranty other companies.

If I could leave less than 1 star I would. They are very slow and they appear to not care what so ever about customer satisfaction. I brought in my 93 Ford 4X4 because the transmission stopped working. They told me they would evaluate it and replace any broken parts. After a week they came back to me and told me they would need to totally replace the transmission at a cost of about $4,500. These guys are the con artist you see on tv. Charging thousands for unnecessary work and damaging your vehicle when you bring it in for warranty work

If anyone is needing transmission work done do yourself a favor and avoid tanner transmissions      My little buisness transaction with Tanner Transmission in Draper Communication is very very poor when you talk to them they say "we will give you a call back later  "  Yea that doesn't happen you have to call them.  The 5yr 50k warranty that's an extra charge.     Ontop of their outrageous price 575 for a diag  they dont tell you itll be 575 to put the trans back in if you dont do the work there. Worst experience I have ever had with someone working on my car. I paid them close to $1000 to fix my transmission and they had my car for close to 2 months. They gave me the car back and said it was working great and it broke down less than a block away. Returned it to them and they said they would work on it again. They returned it to me a 2nd time and the same exact thing happened again. Then they tried to swindle me out of more money to "rediagnose the problem". Horrible experience. I’d give -0 stars if possible. I first called Jim at the Washington Blvd. location and he was very rude and sarcastic. After calling the location on South State St. (main offices), the gentleman I spoke with called me a “complainer”, a “bully”, and that I was being threatening because I stated I was going to post a review; furthermore, the gentleman at the South State St. location hung up on me. I called the Taylorsville location in Utah and spoke to a technician named Larry. I inquired about what the diagnostic fee would be to troubleshoot my transmission of the engine revving up when up shifting from 2nd to 3rd on my Silverado. Larry mentioned that this might not be a transmission issue but poor performance with the engine causing my transmission problem being that everything on my truck ran on sensors. Tanner Transmissions in Draper is a great service center! We were having a reoccurring issue with our transmission over a 3-month period. We had multiple mechanics/repair shops attempt to find the problem, each were unsuccessful. Tanner Transmission diagnosed the problem and competed the repair. They were courteous, professional and responsive. We are 100% satisfied!

They had my car for about 2 weeks. They repaired my transmission but left the windows down in my car and now it smells like cigarettes and a mechanic shop. They left shop rags inside my car and left grease all over my steering wheel, door handles inside and out. Very unprofessional. I would not recommend them
