Oustanding cuisine! – Our last night in the city and we read about Tangerine on citysearch...they fit us in for a 9:15 reservation. We so lucked out! The decor is awesome- chic and fun! Consitently excellent menu in a setting where you can enjoy conversation – Tangerine is our dinning room away from home. The menu provides interesting choises augmented with nightly specials. We love the chocolate mousse and cheese cake. The weekday two for one drinks on Monday and a free glass of wine ion Wednesdays are a plus as is the Thursday night special. And the wait staff is friendly, attentive, and allways concerned that you are having a great dioning ecperience.
Best Castro Neighborhood Restaurant – Tangerine is great! Ive lived in the Castro for 18 years and finally found a place thats good for brunch AND dinner. Either Peter or Sean is always there to help. The food is creative and the staff friendly. My only complaint is that brunch gets PACKED! Consistently good food and dining – I've been eating at Tangerine once or twice a week for the past three years. I go there with my former gym partner almost every Saturday morning for brunch and often take friends there in the evening for dinner. We have had countless meals, on varying nights of the week, and they have all been quite wonderful. Excellent dinner – My first experience with Tangerine was when a friend asked to meet there for dinner. I walked from the wrong Bart stop and arrived sweaty and annoyed at myself. As soon as I walked in, I forgot all of that. Just an amazing dining experience. The service was kind, generous, and immediate. The food was delicious and the drinks were fantastic. A great place to catch up with friends, go on a date, or meet co-workers.
Best weekday hangout – Spectacular flower arrangements along with dim lights warm and greet a good welcome from a long hard day of work. Colors and artworks are neither too intense nor drawing much attentions from my date, thus giving a little bit of topics of conversation. Best Pan-Asian & Pacific Rim – My favorite place to dine in the city is Tangerine. The meals are always fresh and savory. They are always presented beautifully. The dining atmosphere is romantic and exotic, which is reflected in the artwork on the walls. The staff is very welcoming and extremely attentive. I've been dining at Tangerine for three years and have never been disappointed. It's one of the few restaurants where I can enjoy a conversation with my dining guests. I highly recommend this dining experience to everyone.
Romantic, comfortable atmosphere – Felt very welcome with prompt service. Food was great and served in an elegant presentation. While enjoying my meal, I enjoyed looking at the art work that is displayed through-out the restaurant. The art work gave the resaurant a very warm,relaxed feeling which made the whole experience even better.
