Best Deal in Town – I may not be a foodie, but I like to eat good food. The food, presentation, service, and atmoshere are exceptional and outstanding values. In fact, the food is as good if not better than restaurants charging double the price. It's surprising there are not lines out the door every night. A few years ago they tried to rotate the drunken duck off the menu for awhile and almost caused a neighborhood uprising. If you are looking for something different, the innovative pan asian menu will not disappoint you.
Too Bad - Great Service, Not so great food – It is too bad that the food at Tangerine does not match the service. I was seated promptly and the table requested was available as requested. Very friendly top-notch service in this laid-back restaurant. – The service at this restaurant was absolutely VIP. The food was some of the best we've had in the city--just the perfect amount of spice and so savory. The decor was stylish and comfy. Quiet neighborhood, great place for a nice meal.
Excellent Brunch – Tangerine is one of my favorite brunch spots. It is open relatively early on Sundays- 10am; they have tasty dishes like coconut pancakes with ginger syrup and topped with sliced bananas and Fishermen's omelette, which is with brocolli and shrimp. The service is friendly and not ot crowded especially if you go early on Sundays.
Can't help but rave about this place – I have been to Tangerine twice and both times, have left extremely pleased with the service and food. The staff is courteous and accomodating. Our waiter was attentive, despite the fact that we were a large group and the place was busy. We were even given a free cocktail that the bartender was trying out. Great brunch at Tangerine for years – I saw the review from "Cacoona Lanei" today and was surprised by the hateful comments! My group and I have been going to Tangerine for Saturday brunch for over 2 years and have never once run in to any of the problems mentioned. They are so busy just like other famous brunch locations in the city and waiting is sometimes unavoidable. The service is always great. The servers are always consistent. Tangerine was more like a Lemon !!!! – My partner and I went to this mediocre restaurant on a Saturday afternoon because the restaurant we wanted to eat at did not serve Saturday Brunch and was closed. We were in the mood for Brunch, not Lunch. When we walked past the shower curtain separating the seating area from the door the place looked very "Diner" like.
