It's reprehensible that management continues to drag its feet (over two years now) refusing to engage in fair bargaining to achieve a contract for Student Services Staff. My respect for TCC has plummeted as I've watched this process be thwarted over and over by management's lack of respect for both these workers and their right to a union contract. I stand with the workers and will not recommend TCC to friends and will not participate in any outreach for TCC programs until management engages in good faith negotiations.
Fair contract NOW!!! TCC should treat their employees better...
Basic rights and respect for your student support staff would demonstrate a higher level of intelligence and decency. It's good for your students, good for you. How can you teach people to "Reach Higher" when you're pushing your own staff down lower? Come into the 21st century and be fair to your people who work so hard for you.
TCC supports it's students and workforce. Excellent.
Employers send a clear message in collective bargaining about how they regard their workers. A contract COULD be a positive experience. Instead, the administration is saying it's OK to treat each other badly, but probably not so badly as to break the law. At least not yet.
Please do the right thing and settle a fair contract with your Student Services employees.
Go back to the table and work out a fair contract for your workers!!
Please do the right thing and settle a fair contract with your Student Services employees. These people are the heart and sole of the college and your unfair treatment and the lack of respect for the job they do by not having a contract causes a huge morale problem which impacts the college and in turn impacts the students. Negotiate a Fair Contract NOW!
