I ate lunch @ 12 noon on Sunday.I had the fried fish and shrimp.The food was hot, the fish, shrimp and fries were all good. The hushpuppies had a burnt taste, like the oil was burnt. When I mentioned it to the bartender, ( because I was seated at the bar) he shrugged his shoulders and said " Ehhh". Maybe this is an ongoing issue. Tacky Jack's is the perfect beginning to any day in Orange Beach or Gulf Shores. The staff is very friendly and provides great service from the moment you're greeted to the moment they wish you a good day and invite you back. The food is Southern comfort food at it's very best. The biscuits are some of the very best I've had in my life and don't need butter or jelly in my opinion, and the cheese grits are out of this world. Great restaurant/bar to visit. We had a hamburger which was very good, great and friendly waitress, by the marina to watch the boats. Visited in December, so not busy at all. Was told in the summer expect 1 to 2 hour wait. Definitely recommend to visit!!

This has become or go to place every time we come to the OB. Hit it every time before we check in and bookend it on the way out. Breakfast...AWESOME. The shrimp and grits, waffle, biscuits, I could go on and on. The tuna dip, the firecracker shrimp, all of it, always awesome, I could go on and on. And Jason remembers us every time we are there.
