We just checked out a day early because this place is a nightmare. We were on our honeymoon and this is not what we expected. Our first room did not have any hot water to shower with. When I called the front desk I was told to let the water run for five minutes including both sinks in the bathroom. We actually let it run for ten minutes and still no hot water. Booked their most basic room with tub in the old Harmony building. Disappointed that the two times we've been here it has been cold and rainy - how does that happen in SoCal?! So sadly, no hiking or biking as planned. Then-to make matters worse there was no heat and it was 63 degrees in the room! Fortunately we came on a slow day and were upgraded to a newly remodeled room on the scone floor. Saved the day- room was beautiful and tub pre filled and ready to go. Things warmed up rather quickly then ;)
First time to this place. Beautiful grounds, but when we were checking in, we werent greeted at the door (you enter through the gift shop) and had to grab the attn of the staff. They set us up in Gemini. Once we found it(instructions were not very clear), we encountered a completely dirty room including trash, beer bottles, and soaking wet towels that were thrown on the ground outside the tub. Pretty neat place. Feels Rustic. Experienced a little hiccup when I booked my hot tub which had me waiting so I sat at the bar in the restaurant... which has an exotically palatable menu and delectable drinks. Definitely a worthy pit stop off the 101
We've stayed here several times. The location near Avila Beach is wonderful. The staff is outstanding.
Wonderful reasonably priced afternoon spa day with my daughter who is a student at Cal Poly, my only disappointment was that they don’t provide dermaabrasion therapy.
