I wanted an evaluation of the costs as I was contemplating breaking up my matched set, and just buying a new washer. He analyzed the problem immediately, and the projected cost of repair far outweighed buying a new washer...and I really wanted to keep a matching set, so he went ahead and replaced the pump.
