Summitt EAC really has it going on this year. So much better than the past. Miss Whitney is one of the best : )
My son is really enjoying his time at Extend-a-Care. Our only concern is that there is still a waiting list for the After School Program. I know he would like to stay for a longer period of time, but we are hoping that the program will have openings soon.
This year is much better than last. My main suggestion is that someone immediately come to the door when the doorbell rings. I often have to wait awhile or wait for someone to come out so that I can get in.
EAC program at Summitt Elementary school has improved significantly this year. New leadership listened to the concerns of parents like me and made appropriate changes that makes my daughter and myself very happy. I was considering to switch to another after school program for this school year. I really appreciate the program and I think you have some of the nicest staff working at the Summit Elementary location this year. There has been so much improvement since last year, which is a major plus! The staff is cordial and treat the kids and parents with respect. I feel that my son loves to be there and that makes me as a parent know that he is being treated well. I would and do recommend your program to everyone.
My son's is ok with the program and so I am. But I did see some episodes where I believe things could've handled better in services. As a mom, I do respect who is in charge of my kid and she is not bad, but there were some situation where I spotted her with raised voice and sometime yelling to the kids. When she is trying to redirect a kid, there is better way to handling a kid than raising her voice front of 20 kids. Those kids are only from prek to kinder. 14 track my children really enjoyed the Extend-a-care- for Kids program they always have fun. My kids group leaders are always kind professional courteous and care about my kids. Very happy with the program and would recommend them to anyone asking.
