Bigger Is Not Always Better! I was a patient at NJ Physicians since 1985.... Then Summit Medical Group took over 2 years ago. It's been downhill ever since! The change treatment nurses every few months (I'd had the same treatment nurse since 1998!) They call, text and send an email to confirm your appointment. When you arrive for your appointment, after making you wait for 15 minutes, they send some stranger out to tell you that your appointment has been cancelled! SMG is great!!!! This place gave me back my confidence when I was at my worst... Dr. McDaid, Dr. Alterman, Dr. Blitstein, Dr. Corona, Dr. Oza & Dr. Coohill... Just to name a few... Oh Monica & the entire staff of physical therapy!!!!! These individuals & staff members worked with me for years & remained patient and showed concern of progress in or out the office. Personally, I give them double stars because everyone has a story & SMG is a biggggggg part of mine.... Again, I THANK YOU.... Al Cook Jr..
I have found SMG to be a wonderful experience. I finally got answers to what is wrong with me and I adore my primary care physician, Dr. Skrelja. The support staff is pleasant for the most part, the greeters are wonderful. I was in the medical field for two decades in administration so I do know the ins and outs of billing and coding as well as dealing with insurance carriers so the one issue had with the billing office I was able to correct quickly with a few phone calls. Terrible service and some nurses are flat out rude with a lot of attitude. I had a walk in appointment scheduled for internal medicine for 11.30a obviously because I wasn't feeling well but was not even taken in till 12.10p. I understand that walk in appts are hard to accommodate so asked the nurse when will I be able to see the Doctor. The nurses response was take it up with the the doctor and she wasn't here to answer anything. Don't expect their billing services to work with you. Even if they can add a correct diagnosis to the claim so that your insurance will cover the tests, they will not do so. On the phone with the insurance company, the INSURANCE company told them what they could do. They REFUSE! Easier to have the customer pay than work with the insurance company. Their Billing system is automated .... The Customer is always wrong.... That said, my wife loves the doctors.
