Enjoy a little piece of Pan-Fried history when you dine at Stroud's! The year was 1933. Prohibition had just been repealed, we were between two World Wars and Stroud's Restaurant was built. Stroud's started as a BBQ restaurant by Guy and Helen Stroud on the county line at 85th and Troost. The road house remained a BBQ restaurant until World War II. We had an amazing dinner at Stroud’s on a Sunday evening. The food is always delicious and just what we were craving. I’m especially impressed with our server Elaine! She was genuinely friendly, helpful, and thorough. We had our two little ones with us and she was very accommodating to them too. I have many years of experience in the hospitality industry so it takes a lot to stand out to me. Elaine was exceptional and the perfect face for the down home atmosphere of Stroud’s!

Strouds is always a good place to eat for good ole’ family style cooking. Elaine was a great server and even let me take my soda home to go! I’m leaving full and happy :)

They serve family style with generous portions of mashed potatoes and cinnamon rolls at the end. The chicken is great but a tad pricey.

I just had Stroud’s on my first visit to KC. We had the 3 breast dinner that our waitress Elaine recommended. It was the best fried chicken I ever had & Elaine took great care of us!!
