Customer service for Storm Smart is horrendous. Often your call goes to voice mail. If you do talk to someone, they can't provide any information regarding your scheduled appointment. They tell you they will have someone call you back, but you NEVER get a call back. They don't adhere to their appointment schedules and don't provide any follow up to let you know they are running late. I had a defect accordion shutter installed and instead of replacing it they tried to enlarge the hole. The shutter still did not close of open ... read more

We paid a deposit on January 14. The project was installed in late March. They asked for more money since work was complete and I gave them a partial payment. We finally got the inspection done in late May and it did not pass inspection! One of the 5 sections is not working properly. Despite numerous calls the company has not sent anyone out to fix the one section that is not operating properly and not resolved the issue with the inspector! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! They do not return calls for a repair. When I finally was able to schedule a repair, the repair person never showed up. I have been trying to get a repair on a screen that is still under warranty for three weeks.

They are dishonest. They tried to collect 1/3 down on a fully approved and financed PACE/Ygrene approval, did not respond to multiple calls, texts, to both office staff and salesmen. Unprofessional and trying to get commission up front before job was even started! No concern or comment when we expressed our concerns, delays in final quote, always stated "I'm in a meeting." Installation was well-done and as promised. The product is excellent. We have fabric rolling shutters on our lanai and front porch, and we have accordions on our master bedroom. The only problem I had was with call-backs. It took two calls but I did get a satisfactory result from the call.

STILL WAITING!!! Poor design, poor installation (including failed building inspection), poor customer service, poor communications, poor follow-up, poorly trained staff, significant staff turn-over.. Damage done to residence during FAILED INSTALLATION of motorized storm screen...STILL WAITING for satisfactory repair and completion. We recently had the Storm Catcher Screen installed on our lanai, which cost $3600. Every time it rains I have to mop the water that comes into the lanai. We were never told that it only protects from the wind not the rain. We installed a hurricane screen in our previous home which had a much larger area 6 years ago and from another company and never got any rain on our lanai. Door components shipped to job site were incorrect which resulted in a delay. The home office scheduled the first inspection assuming the job would be ready and did not reschedule due to the delay (with no communication to the home owner). City building inspector arrived on the job site and failed the installation. Next the home office called to schedule the post installation assessment for Monday 11:00 to 1:00. I recently posted an overall negative experience because Storm Smart failed to contact me to resolve a problem with motorized screens on my lanai that would stick and not fully deploy in even slight wind and rain. In early dealings with the company I was told that this is normal when there is some wind. I told them that this was not acceptable.
