I had my hurricane shutters put in a few years back I didn't have a reason to use them for about 13 months after ...they never closed properly... My complaint is that Storm Smart is unprofessional and is a dysfunctional company as far as their billing practices. We had storm Smart install shutters for our home. We like the shutters and had some minor issues with installation. The contract was for $18,000 with $6000 down leaving a balance of $12,000. Balance due upon completion, which was on 10/1/21. Storm Smart installed windows and sliders throughout our condo a few years ago. We have one window that is clouding up. We called them and they sent a person to assess the problem. These windows were supposed to be guarenteed for life. There was a $75 assessment fee. He said they no longer used that manufacturer. He said there would be a charge of $130 to replace the glass. 0 stars if I could. Communication is non existent with this company. Ordered windows and gave deposit in April. Was given a 12-14 week lead time for manufacturing and install. That WOULD HAVE put us at early August if the windows would have been ordered at time of deposit. Which unfortunately they weren't. This place has the worst customer service I have ever encountered. Engaged with them to put screens on my lanai back in Marc. Mark, the salesman, assured us repeatedly rain would not come into the lanai. LIED. Mark assured us they don't get paid until the job is completed. Well, they took the money BEFORE the job was started LIED. Mark assured us that his company wants us to be 100% satisfied, we are NOT! Stay away from this business. The service is horrible, the customer service representatives are incompetent, the wait times are far from competitive, and they lie. Refused to give me the number of the president of the company. They repaired a screen, which I waited over a month to get an appointment, and it broke the same day. Now I have to wait another 3 weeks. Rude, horrible customer service. They do not stand by their product.
I had them install four screens. All ok I waited six weeks for final inspection from collier county and their final work. Called several times They never scheduled inspection They took my money never completed work Do not do business with them!
