I was referred to this so called doctor years ago and he told me my back was so bad nothing could be done. I told my reg doctor to send me to anyone except Kiefer and thats exactly where she sent me.. Against my better judgement I went to see him. He claimed yes we will fix you right up. He didnt remember me. I asked him whats changed and he looked confused. I said you told me 20 years ago my back was too bad to work on and he said, well we cant fix you but we can lesson your symptoms. I was in so much pain I was still going... read more
Brain biopsy on man with 3 months to live. Lost out on quality last days with family due to recovery from unnecessary procedure.
I have DISH which is very rare. I had osteophytes pushing against my windpipe and esophagus. Every doctor said I needed intervention but De. Kiefer was the only one who do anything about it. He was extremely nice, and he didn't sugarcoat anything. He told me my chances and what could happen. He'd only done the surgery twice before, but he cares so much for his patients, he felt there was no choice with me. It's very difficult but he worked so hard. It was supposed to be an hour surgery, but it became three hours and a half. ... read more
He is an awesome Neurosurgeon! I am so thankful for his expertise.
I have seen him three times and feels like if it's not an easy solution to your problem he dosen't have time for you.
Dr. Kiefer performed surgery on my father a week ago. I found him to be caring, patient & clearly explained what to expect post surgically. My other family members who met him felt the same. My father is 87. Outcome was excellent.
Dr. Kiefer is an extraordinary surgeon! I had spinal fusion and decompression on L4/L5 and had no back pain at all. The surgery was absolutely perfect. I found he and his staff among the most professional, thoughtful medical personnel I have ever had dealings with. If you communicate by filling out the information they ask for, think about the questions you want to ask ahead of time, and follow the instructions they provide, I believe you will be hard pressed to find a better chance of recovery anywhere. He will not predict ... read more
Horrible experience. I went to see Dr. Kiefer with my wife and he was rude and antagonistic from the moment he walked into the room. The doctor presented himself with a short and callous disposition, clinching his fist and treating my wife's neurological condition with blatant disregard. Dr. Kiefer was dismissive and uncaring, which seems odd for someone in a "caring" profession. Additionally, his medical assistants demonstrated a perpetual lack of professionalism, rolling their eyes as my wife answered questions for/asked q... read more
This man has a God complex; rude, arrogant and VERY CONDESCENDING to my mother throughout my father's brain surgeriesHe acted as if her questions were inane, and her worry unfounded. He even scolded her: "The reason you didn't hear me call your name is because you were talking on your phone!" (How dare my mother, a retired OR nurse, inform the children of their father's surgical status on his precious time?!) This is the SECOND TIME in two weeks that Kiefer has had to operate on my father's brain (and only two days after a s... read more
