4 appointments and all 4 times he tried sending his nurse to see me. He informed me last month that "Surgery is definitely an option, but none are currently being scheduled due to the coronavirus. So, let's give you another cortisone shot(3rd) to help until then" That was the best news I heard in years! But then....... I went to my scheduled appointment today and he told me "surgery isn't an option. Smart no nonsense confident excellent Pre and Post patient care. ??????
My BIGGEST complaint with this office is to make an appointment, you call, leave a message and then they call you back, whenever they are free. However you may not be free or near your phone. That's why you call when YOU the patient, is ready to make an appointment. I don't know how many games of phone tag I have played, but getting sick of it.
When I was referred to Dr. Alter, it was the best thing that could have happened to me. He is an impressive and knowledgeable surgeon, who made my mishap seem less daunting. Everyone who knew of him assured me that I was in the very best of hands for my shoulder surgery. His office staff were friendly and well organized. I will gladly recommend him and this practice in the future.
Very well run office....Always runs on time, friendly, helpful staff, . Dr. Alter is a thorough and efficient clinician..Excellent diagnostician. He is quick but will always ask if there are any questions and will take whatever time needed to answer in a satisfactory way.
So very impressed with the whole experience. He was quick to respond to the accident. Quick to get the surgery scheduled at my request. All of the office visits were so efficient and easy to accomplish. Can’t say enough good about the practice. Also easily available on the phone and very flexible if needed adjustments or changes. Have had other experience with orthopedics and this was the best by far. No question. Highly recommended by me. Judi
Dr. Alter avoids discussing diagnosis’s and treatments with patients by shoving pamphlets in their faces and leaving the room. When I tried to engage him in discussing my problem he became very defensive and would contradict himself, and his “educational pamphlet.”
Dr. Alter was excellent to work with. Listened to my concerns, followed up on all visits.
Not very nice... I was definitely interrupting his day!!!
