I saw Dr. Alter for a fractured hand. In the many visits I made to his office, he gave me little to no information (usually handed me a brochure), he never asked me how I was feeling, and he usually lets his assistant do most of the appointment who is unfortunately similarly brief. They are pulling so many people through that they have no time to spend on anyone. To this office, you are just a number, and you'll get no information or compassion. I would not recommend him at all.
Dr Alter saw me at his office after I fell at work. He told me I would most likely need a reverse shoulder procedure, but if during surgery he thought he could repair my own shoulderd, he would try to do the best he could for me. Well, he did repair my shoulder during the surgery. I went home one day after surgery and went back to work sooner than expected. I am very grateful for his care. My last visit was today. I do not have to go back.
I fractured my elbow skiing and Dr. Alter's care and attention to detail throughout treatment prevented a need for expensive reconstructive elbow surgery. I'm extremely grateful to be back out on the slopes only 6 weeks after the initial injury with zero complications!
He has been, my doctor, for a year and operated on me twice. Every interaction with him has been great. He takes his time to listen and makes sure you leave your appointment understanding what was discussed. He is easy to speak to and open to answering any questions you have. Bedside manners are fine, not sure why others feel differently. Dr.Alter is very straightforward no surprises just honest. Great doctor for sure
My experience with the Dr was wonderful, he is full of patience. I can't say much how friendly his entire staff is. With such experience I encounter with this Doctor and his staff, I will refer any member of my family to him. To Dr Alter and his staff, TJ want to say thank you for all that you do.
Had shoulder replacement surgery. Dr. Alter was wonderful. Very reassuring and competent. Highly recommended.
I had 3 close friends of mine that had surgery/work done by Dr.Alter suggest him to me. After hearing their experiences I decided on seeing him for my fractured metacarpal. I am a few hours out of my surgery and I just needed to share that I also had a great experience too! From the staff at the reception desk, to the team of nurses, to the anesthesiologist and ofcourse Dr.Alter himself...everyone was so kind and attentive!! Fell and fractured my radius. Dr Alter gave me information on all the available treatment options and fully supported the decision I made for surgical intervention. He and his staff are friendly and pleasant to deal with. More importantly he is knowledgeable, competent, has a great bedside manner and always takes the time to answer any questions you may have
Dr.Alter is an amazing surgeon. He has treated me several times in the past few years and I would highly recommend him. I would like to say that he really doesn’t have bedside manners. But, if you want The job done right he’s your guy!
