Purchased a vehicle 04/12/2025 from Stephens auto in Summersville. Provided them will all information needed even obtained my own payoff quote on the car I was trading in. Put money down on the vehicle I was purchasing since I had some negative on the one I traded in. Received a phone call 04/22/2025 stating that I owed them 1,104 dollars. Upon looking at the paperwork they put the amount of my payoff in wrong by one number. 25,348 is what my off was and on the paperwork it was 24,348. Beware! I’m a female buyer and admittedly not skilled in auto purchasing, but I trusted these guys because they seem to sell many cars. I purchased and drove a truck off the lot and same day the check engine light came on. I went back to lot and salesman said it will go off. I didn’t know enough to know that is not normal. The light did go off within the day, but three months later, I have an issue that leads me to believe I bought a lemon. The people are so nice. Quick to be approved. Issue the cars. First week of having mine the battery died. I've had it for 1 full year and have had to replace my battery three time replace a starter and constantly in the shop for not starting right. My husbands car we got from them the first month his car broke down to a timed out engine and still having problems. We have put so much money into this car while also having to pay a car payment.
